The End of the Podcasts

In the previous blog (HERE), I described the changes that are in the works for Why Family-Based Solutions. These changes mostly consisted of new things that will be started in the coming weeks and months. In this blog, I would like to explain one more change.

In November 2018, I started producing and publishing podcasts in addition to the blogs. The reason for starting podcast was twofold: one, being aware that not everyone enjoys reading, I thought the podcasts might appeal to people who would still like to learn about what I have to say by listening rather than reading. And two, I thought that illustrating the largely theoretical and maybe somewhat abstract information in the blogs with real life stories in the podcasts, might help people realise more deeply what is at stake.

However, over the course of the past nine months, there has been considerably less interest in the podcasts than in the blogs. Since producing the podcasts is considerably more labour-intensive than writing blogs, I have decided that it is not really worth continuing to make podcasts at this moment.

So, the announcement here is that for the time being, there will be no new podcasts. Until and unless there is a clear desire for it on the side of the audience. It was worth a try. And has been a useful experience, from which I have learned a lot. Over time, there are bound to be more of these experiments.

Now, after three consecutive blogs about the practical goings on at and plans for Why Family-Based Solutions, don’t despair, from the next blog on things will be on topic again: Blogs to raise awareness, and spread knowledge and understanding.
